Clinical Application
This instrument is specified for controlled tissue removal and sampling within the uterine cavity. The Recamier curette with a 15 mm tip is used in gynecologic procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic curettage, endometrial sampling, and removal of retained soft tissue. The scoop-style tip enables atraumatic scraping and collection of endometrial tissue while providing tactile feedback to the operator.
Design & Configuration
The flexible shaft allows the tip to follow the natural uterine curvature, improving contact with the endometrium and reducing the need for repeated instrument passes. A longer 31 cm overall length gives additional reach and working length for varied patient anatomy or when additional external distance is required. The Fig.7 pattern identifies the manufacturer's geometry and tip profile, chosen to balance scraping efficiency with atraumatic tissue engagement.
