Clinical Application
This flexible Recamier curette is intended for controlled tissue removal and sampling within the uterine cavity and other confined soft-tissue spaces encountered in gynecologic procedures. The instrument is suitable for endometrial sampling, removal of retained products of conception, light debridement, and targeted curettage where a conforming, atraumatic scoop is preferred.
Design & Configuration
The flexible shaft permits the tip to follow anatomic curvature, improving access through the cervical canal and into the uterine cavity while allowing the operator to adjust angulation during the procedure. The Fig.3 Recamier geometry provides a rounded, scoop-shaped working end that balances efficient tissue capture with a relatively atraumatic edge profile. The 9 mm tip diameter offers a moderate working surface for sampling and controlled removal, while the 31 cm overall length provides reach for most transcervical applications and external handling during procedures.
