Clinical Application

This Recamier curette with a flexible shaft is intended for gynecologic procedures requiring controlled endometrial sampling and atraumatic removal of soft intrauterine tissue. Common applications include diagnostic and therapeutic dilation & curettage (D&C), targeted endometrial biopsy, and evacuation of retained products of conception where a malleable shaft and small curette head improve access and tactile control.

Design & Configuration

The instrument’s flexible shank allows the tip to follow the natural curvature of the uterine cavity, reducing levering forces at the cervix and improving alignment with the endometrial surface. A 7 mm curette head provides a focused scraping surface for controlled tissue sampling while minimizing bulk at the tip.
