Clinical Application
This ring curette is designed for controlled scraping and removal of soft tissue from cavities. It is commonly used in gynecologic procedures for endometrial curettage, targeted removal of polyps or retained tissue, and obtaining diagnostic tissue samples. The 12 mm loop provides a defined working surface for precise tissue engagement while minimizing excess trauma to surrounding mucosa.
Design & Configuration
The rigid shaft and elongated 31 cm length provide reach and stability for accessing deeper cavities while maintaining tactile feedback. The ring-loop tip permits a circumferential scraping action that scoops tissue effectively; rigid construction allows the surgeon to apply focused force without flex, improving control during curettage. The Fig.5 sizing corresponds to the loop diameter and overall length that many surgical teams select for moderate-depth access.
