Clinical Application

This malleable, blunt Sims uterine curette is intended for gynecologic procedures requiring mechanical sampling or removal of endometrial and intrauterine tissue. Common uses include diagnostic endometrial biopsy, therapeutic curettage as part of dilation and curettage (D&C), and gentle scraping of the uterine cavity following incomplete evacuation. The blunt loop reduces the risk of inadvertent perforation while providing effective tissue engagement.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft allows the clinician to contour the curette to the patient’s uterine axis and access challenging anatomies without applying torsional force to fixed instruments. A blunt 21 mm loop tip provides a balance between surface area for tissue removal and atraumatic contact with the endometrium and myometrium.
