Clinical Application
Used for blind or visually assisted endometrial sampling and gentle uterine curettage. The instrument is intended for diagnostic endometrial biopsy, removal of retained products of conception, and uterine cavity scraping during gynecologic procedures where a malleable, controllable curette is required. The 14 mm tip provides a balance between surface area for tissue removal and controlled engagement of endometrial tissue. Proper use requires appropriate clinical visualization and gentle technique to reduce risk of uterine perforation.
Design & Configuration
The malleable blade permits the surgeon to contour the shaft to match uterine axis and patient anatomy, improving access in anteverted, retroverted, or enlarged uteri. The Sims-style curette geometry (spoon/oval curette tip) concentrates scraping force at the rim while minimizing full-thickness penetration. At 31 cm overall length, the instrument offers extended reach for deeper cavities or when additional working length is required. The 14 mm tip diameter provides adequate surface area for efficient tissue removal without excessive bulk.
