Clinical Application

Designed for gynecologic procedures requiring controlled endometrial tissue removal and sampling. Common uses include diagnostic and therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), targeted removal of retained products of conception, and gentle scraping of the uterine lining for pathology. The blunt, spoon-shaped tip is intended to collect tissue while minimizing sharp cutting, aiding safe intrauterine use when performed by trained clinicians.

Design & Configuration

The Sims-style spoon tip follows the natural curvature of the uterine cavity to facilitate efficient sampling and removal of tissue. The malleable shaft allows the operator to contour the instrument to patient anatomy or procedural approach, improving access and tactile feedback. A blunt curette head provides a less aggressive scraping surface compared with sharp curettes, reducing the risk of inadvertent perforation when used with proper technique.
