Clinical Application

This curette is intended for gynecologic uterine curettage procedures where controlled, blunt scraping or removal of endometrial tissue or soft intrauterine material is required. Common uses include diagnostic endometrial sampling, therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), removal of retained products of conception, and other intrauterine debridement tasks performed by OB/GYN surgeons in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft allows the surgeon to adapt the instrument's curvature to the patient’s uterine axis (anteverted or retroverted), improving access and alignment during intrauterine work. A 31 cm overall length provides adequate reach for a range of uterine positions while maintaining tactile feedback. The 7 mm blunt curetting tip presents a modest scraping surface designed to engage and remove soft tissue while minimizing sharp-edge trauma; blunt geometry is selected when minimizing the risk of perforation or laceration is a priority.
