Clinical Application

Designed for gynecologic procedures that require atraumatic scraping and sampling of the uterine lining. Common uses include diagnostic endometrial sampling, therapeutic uterine curettage during dilation and curettage (D&C), and removal of retained products of conception. The 30 mm Sims-style spoon head provides an adequate surface area for efficient tissue sampling while allowing controlled scraping in the uterine cavity.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft permits intraoperative contouring to match patient anatomy and operator preference, improving access in cases with uterine flexion or atypical angle. The Sims spoon geometry concentrates scraping surface into a concave head appropriate for controlled curettage and sampling; the elongated 31 cm length facilitates transvaginal reach while keeping the handle clear of the surgical field.
