Clinical Application

Designed for controlled endometrial sampling and tissue removal during gynecologic procedures, this Sims-pattern uterine curette is used in dilation & curettage (D&C), evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding, and removal of retained products of conception. The spoon-shaped tip provides a broad contact surface for superficial scraping and removal of tissue under direct manual control.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft permits intraoperative contouring to match the patient’s uterine axis, improving access and angulation in variable anatomies. The Figure 4 (Sims) profile combined with an 11 mm spoon tip balances surface area for effective tissue sampling with tactile feedback for controlled curettage. The 31 cm overall length provides extended reach for pelvic procedures while allowing the operator to maintain precise manual control.
