Clinical Application

Designed for diagnostic and therapeutic gynecologic procedures, this instrument is used to sample or remove endometrial tissue and small retained products from the uterine cavity. Its blunt curette tip is suitable for controlled mechanical scraping during dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial biopsy, and postpartum uterine evacuation under direct or blind technique.

Design & Configuration

The malleable shaft permits the clinician to contour the instrument to patient anatomy and to customize angulation for improved access to the uterine fundus and cornual regions. A 5 mm curette tip provides a moderate working surface for effective blunt curettage while minimizing the risk of focal perforation when used with appropriate technique. The 31 cm overall length gives adequate reach for routine adult gynecologic cases.
