Clinical Application

Designed for gynecologic procedures requiring mechanical removal or sampling of endometrial tissue, this rigid Sims uterine curette is used in diagnostic and therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), evacuation of retained products of conception, and targeted endometrial sampling. The 35 mm spoon-shaped tip provides a larger sampling surface for efficient tissue capture during manual curettage.

Design & Configuration

The instrument’s Sims pattern features a gently curved, spatulate (spoon-shaped) tip that conforms to the uterine cavity, allowing broad surface contact for scraping and collection of endometrial tissue. The rigid shaft provides direct tactile feedback to the operator and maintains consistent tip orientation through the vaginal canal and speculum. A blunt curette tip reduces the risk of inadvertent penetration while permitting effective material removal.
