Clinical Application

This instrument is a Sims-style uterine curette configured for gentle, mechanical endometrial sampling and debridement. It is intended for use in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), removal of retained products of conception, and targeted scraping of the uterine cavity under direct or indirect visualization. The blunt ring tip is intended to collect tissue while minimizing cutting trauma to the endometrium.

Design & Configuration

The rigid shaft provides tactile feedback and direct control during intrauterine manipulation, useful when applying consistent pressure to the uterine wall. A 16 mm ring (blunt) tip offers a balance between sample volume and atraumatic contact with the endometrial surface. The overall 31 cm length gives added reach for variable uterine positions and when working through instruments such as specula or retractors.
