Clinical Application

This instrument is designed for intrauterine curettage with a Sims-pattern tip. It is used to sample or remove endometrial tissue during diagnostic or therapeutic dilation and curettage (D&C), to evacuate retained products of conception, and for targeted debridement of the uterine cavity. The blunt Sims scoop allows controlled scraping and tissue retrieval while reducing the tendency to cut deeply compared with sharp curettes.
