Clinical Application
This Sims-pattern uterine curette is intended for controlled mechanical debridement and sampling of the endometrial lining. It is commonly used for diagnostic endometrial sampling, uterine curettage during gynecologic procedures, and removal of retained products of conception or tissue from the uterine cavity. The Fig.0 size corresponds to a smaller-profile Sims pattern suitable for situations where a narrower cervical canal or more delicate intrauterine manipulation is required.
Design & Configuration
The rigid shaft provides direct tactile feedback and controlled force transmission during scraping or sampling maneuvers. The Sims curette tip is shaped to conform to the curvature of the uterine cavity, facilitating efficient tissue removal while allowing the operator to maintain contact across the endometrial surface. A 31 cm overall length offers reach for standard adult uterine anatomies in operative and clinic settings.
