Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures requiring controlled removal or sampling of intrauterine tissue. Common uses include sharp curettage during dilation and curettage (D&C), removal of retained products of conception, endometrial sampling, and adjunctive removal of adherent tissue under direct or indirect visualization. The sharp scoop profile permits efficient engagement and excision of soft tissue with tactile feedback to the operator.
Design & Configuration
The scoop geometry concentrates a sharp cutting edge along a concave working surface to lift and excise tissue while preserving surrounding structures. A slender shaft and 25 cm working length provide the reach needed for adult uterine cavities and a profile slender enough to traverse the cervical canal with minimal dilation. The sharp configuration gives precise cutting action compared with blunt scrapers, enabling controlled removal with reduced need for repeated passes.
