Clinical Application
Used to obtain targeted cervical tissue samples for histopathologic evaluation. The instrument is intended for outpatient and operating-room gynecologic procedures such as directed biopsies under colposcopy, evaluation of suspicious lesions on the ectocervix, and other cervical sampling where a firm, small tissue bite is required.
Design & Configuration
The straight 23 cm shaft provides familiar hand orientation and sufficient length to work comfortably through a speculum while maintaining tactile feedback. A straight configuration facilitates alignment with the cervix in the majority of routine colposcopic positions and helps the operator control bite depth and angle. Cup-style biopsy jaws center and retain the tissue specimen for secure retrieval and transfer to pathology.
