Clinical Application
Designed for targeted sampling of cervical epithelium and superficial stromal tissue, these biopsy forceps are used in office and operating-room gynecologic procedures including colposcopy-guided biopsy, diagnostic evaluation of abnormal cervical cytology, and minor excisional procedures. The instrument provides controlled grasping and excision of small tissue specimens for histopathologic analysis.
Design & Configuration
The ring-handle, box-lock configuration delivers familiar scissor-like control and tactile feedback for precise placement through the speculum. At 24 cm overall length, the geometry affords comfortable reach and maneuverability within the vaginal canal while maintaining fine tip control at the cervix. The cup-style jaw geometry is intended to capture and hold discrete tissue fragments for clean specimen retrieval with minimized crush artifact when used with proper technique.
