Clinical Application
Provides secure grasping and sustained traction on the cervix and adjacent cervical tissue during gynecologic procedures. Common applications include dilation and curettage (D&C), IUD insertion or removal, cervical biopsies, cervical exposure during hysteroscopy and other minor gynecologic procedures where controlled, dependable traction of the cervix is required.
Design & Configuration
The curved shaft orientation improves line-of-sight and access to the cervix within the vaginal canal, allowing the operator to apply traction without obstructing the operative field. The 2x2 tooth tip pattern engages cervical tissue securely to minimize slippage while limiting excessive tissue tearing when used with appropriate technique. Ratcheted ring handles permit graduated closure and hands-free traction when desired, and the 26 cm length provides additional reach for deep or seated procedures.
