Clinical Application

Designed for controlled cervical dilation to permit access to the uterine cavity for procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, intrauterine device placement or removal, and endometrial biopsy. The 14 mm diameter is used as a moderate dilation step in progressive dilator sets or as a target size for procedures that require a larger cervical opening. When used sequentially with smaller sizes, it helps minimize cervical trauma and allows predictable access for specified intrauterine interventions.

Design & Configuration

The tapered distal profile and rounded tip facilitate atraumatic entry through the cervical canal and gradual tissue stretching. A rigid shaft provides direct transmission of controlled axial force and tactile feedback, enabling the clinician to gauge resistance and progression during dilation. A smooth, polished surface reduces tissue drag and facilitates atraumatic insertion and withdrawal.
