Clinical Application

Designed to provide atraumatic lateral retraction of the vaginal walls for diagnostic and minor therapeutic gynecologic procedures. The double-ended medium Sims configuration enables clear visualization of the cervix and posterior fornix during routine pelvic examinations, specimen collection, IUD placement, suture placement, and minor office-based procedures where localized exposure is required.

Design & Configuration

The double-ended (D/Ended) medium pattern pairs two blade widths on a single handle to increase intra-procedural flexibility without changing instruments. Curved blades conform to the vaginal canal and facilitate lateral retraction of the posterior and lateral walls, improving line-of-sight to the cervix. The 70 mm blade length reaches the fornices while the two widths (30 mm and 35 mm) allow selection based on patient anatomy and the degree of retraction required, reducing the need for multiple specula during an encounter.
