Clinical Application
Designed for visualization and access to the vaginal canal and cervix, this speculum supports routine gynecologic evaluation, cervical specimen collection (Pap test), intrauterine device placement, suturing of simple vaginal lacerations, and minor office procedures. The 85 x 30 mm footprint balances depth of exposure with a relatively narrow blade profile to improve patient comfort while providing sufficient view of the cervix.
Design & Configuration
The bivalve geometry provides lateral retraction of the vaginal walls to create a controlled working corridor. An adjustable locking mechanism permits incremental opening and stable exposure for hands-free work when engaged. The slim blade profile associated with the 30 mm maximum width aids insertion in patients with a tighter introitus and reduces soft-tissue compression during examination.
