Clinical Application

Design & Configuration

The Guyon pattern provides a straight, semi-rigid shaft with an atraumatic rounded distal tip to minimize mucosal trauma during insertion and negotiation of narrowed segments. The semi-rigid geometry transmits tactile feedback to the operator, allowing controlled advancement and detection of resistance at a stricture site. A single continuous shaft design simplifies passage through the urethral meatus and reduces catch points during use.
