Clinical Application

Used to establish or re-establish urethral patency and to facilitate atraumatic passage of urinary catheters. These bougies are intended for urethral calibration, stepwise dilation of short tight segments, and as a guide for catheter exchange or negotiation past areas of resistance during urology and perioperative genitourinary procedures.

Design & Configuration

The tapered profile provides a progressive increase in diameter to allow controlled, incremental dilation and easy transition to a working catheter. A smooth, atraumatic tip and polished shaft minimize mucosal trauma and reduce catch points during advancement. Offering two common French sizes enables staged dilation and selection of an appropriately sized conduit for subsequent catheter placement.
