Clinical Application
This clamp is designed to assist in male circumcision procedures in adolescent patients. The instrument provides controlled hemostatic compression of the foreskin, creates a stable platform for excision, and serves as a protective barrier between the glans and the cutting edge during tissue removal. It is used in ambulatory surgery centers, pediatric urology and general surgery settings where a reproducible incision plane and minimized blood loss are required.
Design & Configuration
The 16 mm adolescent sizing is selected to match intermediate penile anatomy where a neonatal or adult bell would not provide an optimal fit. The clamp’s configuration delivers circumferential compression of the preputial tissue to reduce bleeding and stabilize the tissue for a consistent, safe excision. A screw or ratchet-style adjustment provides controlled tightening and retention during the procedure, enabling the surgeon to set compression and exposure before incision.
