Clinical Application

The Legueu bladder retractor is a handheld exposure instrument used to retract and protect the urinary bladder during pelvic, urologic, and vaginal surgical procedures. It is indicated for elevation and isolation of the anterior bladder wall during open cystotomy, bladder repair, prostatectomy, hysterectomy, anterior vaginal wall repair, and other pelvic dissections where consistent, atraumatic retraction is required. The retractor permits an assistant or surgeon to maintain stable exposure while minimizing direct manipulation of the bladder.
