Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic retraction of the urinary bladder and adjacent soft tissues during open pelvic and lower abdominal procedures. Common uses include exposure for bladder repair, cystotomy, suprapubic access, pelvic dissection, adhesiolysis and procedures that require controlled retraction of the bladder away from the operative field. The 160 mm overall length offers controlled reach in suprapubic, vaginal and lower abdominal incisions where a shorter, more maneuverable retractor is preferred.
Design & Configuration
The broad, flat blade distributes retraction forces across a larger surface to minimize focal pressure on the bladder wall. A contoured profile facilitates tissue conformity and gentle displacement of the bladder while preserving visualization of the operative field. The handheld, single‑blade configuration enables precise, one‑handed manipulation by the surgeon or an assistant and is suited to confined pelvic spaces where longer retractors are cumbersome.
