Clinical Application
Designed to provide targeted exposure of the prostate and adjacent deep pelvic structures during open urological procedures (for example open prostatectomy and other deep pelvic dissections). The long shaft allows the surgeon or assistant to reach the operative field without undue crowding at the wound margin, improving visualization and facilitating precise dissection and hemostasis.
Design & Configuration
The long 21 cm shaft geometry positions the blade deep within the pelvis while keeping the handle accessible to the operator. A single-blade retractor profile concentrates retraction force over a controlled area to maximize exposure of the prostate and shield surrounding tissues. The handheld configuration permits quick, intuitive repositioning and fine adjustments of retraction angle and depth during critical steps of the procedure.
