Clinical Application
Designed to provide consistent exposure of the anal canal and lower rectum during open anorectal procedures. The retractor is used to evert and hold soft tissue, enabling direct visualization and access for haemorrhoidectomy, fissure repair, sphincter repair, excision of perianal or low rectal lesions, and other proctologic interventions. It may be used by the primary surgeon or an assistant for controlled lateral or anterior retraction in a confined operative field.
Design & Configuration
The rectangular blade geometry delivers a broad contact surface that distributes retraction forces across mucosa and submucosal tissue, reducing focal pressure and helping preserve delicate anorectal tissues. The 75 x 28 mm blade dimension provides a balance between exposure and insertion profile, while the 21 cm overall length gives reach into the lower rectal vault without excessive shaft bulk. The handheld configuration allows rapid positional adjustment by the operator for dynamic exposure during the procedure.
