Clinical Application
Designed for temporary occlusion of small- and large-bowel segments during open intestinal procedures. This clamp is used to control luminal contents and reduce spillage during resection, anastomosis, enterotomy, and stoma creation. The curved geometry aids atraumatic handling and secure placement on bowel while allowing the surgeon to maintain exposure and proceed with suturing or stapling distal and proximal segments.
Design & Configuration
The curved shaft follows the contour of the bowel and abdominal cavity, enabling a lateral approach and improved visibility at the operative site. At 25 cm overall length the instrument provides extended reach for deeper abdominal fields or wider operative exposures. The jaw geometry is intended to provide even compressive contact along the intestinal wall to occlude the lumen while minimizing focal pressure that can increase tissue injury.
