Clinical Application

Designed for temporary occlusion and atraumatic handling of intestinal tissue during general and colorectal procedures. The smooth jaw surface compresses the bowel lumen to control contents and provide a bloodless field during resection, enterotomy closure and anastomosis without the focal crushing injury associated with toothed clamps. Not intended for vascular clamping.

Design & Configuration

The 25 cm working length provides adequate reach for intra-abdominal access while keeping handles accessible to the surgeon or assistant. Smooth, broader contact surfaces distribute clamping force along the serosa to minimize tissue trauma. A self-locking ratchet maintains consistent occlusion without continuous hand pressure, freeing the operator for suturing and tissue manipulation. The overall geometry facilitates atraumatic control of bowel segments during mobilization, transection and sutured or stapled anastomoses.
