Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic grasp and control of delicate, tubular, or slippery soft tissues during open and certain minimally invasive procedures. Common uses include handling bowel, mesentery, fallopian tubes, appendix, and other friable tissues where crushing injury must be minimized. The serrated fenestrated jaws improve purchase on tissue while distributing pressure to reduce focal trauma.
Design & Configuration
The long beak with an oval fenestration and longitudinal serrations combines tissue protection with secure control. The fenestrated geometry spreads contact over a larger surface area to reduce point pressure, and the serrations provide frictional grip to prevent slippage of moist or slippery tissues. A length of 16 cm offers added reach for deeper cavities or when working across a surgical field without extending the instrument handle into the wound, improving ergonomics for the assistant or primary surgeon.
