Clinical Application
Designed for minimally invasive airway and upper gastrointestinal procedures, this long-shaft forceps is used to grasp and retrieve foreign bodies, displaced objects, or small tissue specimens during rigid bronchoscopy, rigid laryngoscopy, and esophagoscopy. The 40 cm overall length provides the reach required for adult tracheobronchial tree access and esophageal retrieval while allowing the instrument to be used through standard endoscopic tubes and scopes.
Design & Configuration
The rigid, elongated shaft geometry gives direct tactile feedback and precise control when navigating within the airway or esophagus. The length reduces the need for repeated instrument exchanges and permits the operator to maintain depth control at the scope tip. The handle and actuation mechanism are configured to allow controlled jaw closure for secure retrieval while minimizing slippage during extraction through the scope.
