Clinical Application
Designed for hemostatic control and tissue manipulation in tonsillectomy and related otolaryngology procedures. The instrument is used to clamp and secure tonsillar pedicles, control bleeding from small-to-medium caliber vessels in the oropharynx, and to facilitate blunt dissection or traction of soft tissue during exposure and excision.
Design & Configuration
The angular H/Z geometry provides an offset working angle that improves access and visualization within the confined space of the oropharynx. The angled tip allows the surgeon to approach the tonsillar bed with a more ergonomic hand position while keeping the shaft clear of adjacent structures. A ratchet-lock handle secures a consistent clamping pressure for reliable hemostasis, reducing the need for repeated instrument exchanges during a procedure.
