Clinical Application
Designed to grasp and stabilize tonsillar tissue during tonsillectomy and related oropharyngeal procedures. The side-curved orientation permits lateral access to the tonsillar fossa, assisting controlled delivery and traction of tissue during dissection, hemostasis, and ligation. Also useful for retraction and tissue handling in other head & neck and ENT procedures where a lateral approach is required.
Design & Configuration
The side-curved shaft aligns the working tips with the lateral aspect of the tonsillar bed, improving visibility and reducing instrument crowding in the oral cavity. Seizing-style jaws provide a secure purchase on soft tissue to facilitate traction without repeated repositioning. The overall length of 20 cm offers reach into the oropharynx while allowing the operator comfortable hand positioning outside the mouth.
