Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled percutaneous access in procedures that require introduction of guidewires and large-bore catheters. The curved lancet tip facilitates a precise skin and vessel entry for applications such as central venous access, introducer sheath placement, large-bore venous cannulation and drainage procedures where an 18 Fr lumen is required.
Design & Configuration
The curved lancet tip geometry offers a sharp, atraumatic cutting profile that permits predictable penetration with reduced coring and tissue tear. The curvature of the tip aids directional control during entry and can help with negotiating soft-tissue planes or approaching a target vessel at an oblique angle. A 21 cm shaft length provides adequate reach for central and peripheral access without excessive shaft length that can reduce tactile feedback.
Instrument Specifications
- Instrument type: Guide needle
