Clinical Application
Provides atraumatic retraction of the buccal mucosa and soft tissues to expose surgical sites within the oral cavity. Commonly used during oral and maxillofacial procedures, dental surgery, implant placement, and ENT cases where controlled, stable retraction of the cheek or buccal tissues improves visibility and access for dissection, suturing, and device placement. The insulated design supports use near active electrosurgical fields by reducing unintended lateral electrical conduction.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a slender, paddle-shaped blade on a 18.5 cm shaft that permits insertion into the oral vestibule with minimal obstruction of the operative field. The blunt, flat blade distributes retraction forces across a wider surface to minimize tissue compression and reduce mucosal trauma. Insulation along the working shaft isolates conductive surfaces, which helps protect adjacent tissues when electrosurgery is employed in the operative field. The hand-held configuration offers tactile control for dynamic retraction during exposure and suturing.

Material & Construction
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and repeated reprocessing. The working shaft is insulated to limit electrical conduction along exposed surfaces during electrosurgical use. Designed as a reusable instrument; follow facility reprocessing protocols for cleaning and sterilization to maintain function and surface integrity.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
