Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled, atraumatic exposure of the oral cavity and oropharynx in pediatric patients. The set supports procedures such as pediatric ENT operations (tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy), palatoplasty and other cleft repairs, oral/maxillofacial surgery, and diagnostic airway or dental work where safe retraction and tongue protection are required. Interchangeable components allow the team to tailor retraction to patient size and surgical access needs while maintaining a clear operative field.
Design & Configuration
The modular frame accepts a selection of pediatric-specific blades and cheek retractors so surgeons can configure the gag for narrow neonatal anatomy through larger pediatric patients. Adjustable frame positioning provides controlled mouth opening and stable lateral retraction while the blade geometry supports the tongue and palate to optimize visualization. Inclusion of a bite block accessory protects dentition and prevents inadvertent closure during the case. The set format reduces intraoperative instrument changes by providing commonly used pediatric components in one kit.
