Clinical Application
Designed to provide clear exposure of the nasal vestibule and anterior nasal cavity, this retractor is used during septoplasty, open and closed rhinoplasty approaches, turbinate reduction, nasal valve repair and other intranasal procedures where atraumatic soft-tissue retraction is required. The instrument holds soft tissue away from the operative field to improve visualization and allow precise dissection, suturing and placement of implants or grafts.
Design & Configuration
The Aufricht pattern features a narrow blade geometry and an angled handle that facilitates direct line-of-sight into the nasal passages while keeping the surgeon’s hand clear of the operative field. The handheld, single-ended layout gives the operator fine control for intermittent or sustained retraction and allows quick repositioning. Atraumatic flat blades distribute pressure across a broader surface area to reduce mucosal trauma and help maintain hemostasis during exposure.
Instrument Specifications
