Clinical Application
Designed for fine soft-tissue work in plastic and reconstructive procedures, this instrument is used for controlled incisions, flap elevation, scar revision, contouring, and limited blunt dissection. The blunt tip reduces the risk of unintended penetration of underlying structures while the curved blade follows anatomical contours for improved access on convex or recessed surfaces. Typical users include plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, dermatologic surgeons, and procedure teams in ambulatory surgery centers.
Design & Configuration
The curved blade geometry enables the surgeon to follow natural tissue planes and perform angled cuts with improved visualization along the cutting edge. A blunt (rounded) tip is intentionally configured to allow spreading and undermining of tissue with less risk of perforation compared with a sharp-point blade, making it useful when working adjacent to delicate structures. The narrow 5 x 28 mm blade profile provides a slim working surface for precision work, while the 16 cm overall length delivers reach and ergonomic control during fine dissection and contouring.
