Clinical Application
Used to dilate and maintain access to the anterior nasal cavity for diagnostic inspection, suctioning, foreign body removal, septal assessment, and minor intranasal procedures in clinic or operating-room settings. The graduated set allows selection of the appropriate blade size for patient anatomy and procedural exposure needs.
Design & Configuration
The two-blade duckbill geometry spreads the nares to create an unobstructed line of sight into the vestibule and anterior nasal cavity. The hinged configuration with an adjustable opening permits controlled, incremental dilation and can be positioned to maintain exposure while the clinician works. A set of three graduated sizes provides flexibility across pediatric and adult anatomy and helps minimize soft-tissue trauma by allowing selection of the smallest effective aperture.
