Clinical Application
This round Gruber ear speculum provides a controlled, atraumatic access port for direct visualization of the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane. The 4.5 mm aperture is suited to narrower canals and allows clinicians to perform routine otologic examination, targeted cerumen removal, foreign body retrieval and adjunctive suctioning or instrumentation under headlight or microscope magnification.
Design & Configuration
The round, funnel-shaped geometry concentrates the visual field and centers the canal for a coaxial view with binocular microscopes or hand-held otoscopes. The smooth circular rim reduces soft-tissue snagging during insertion and removal. A 4.5 mm internal diameter balances a minimal invasive profile with adequate working space for fine suction tips and micro-instruments used in clinic or ambulatory surgery settings.
