The included Miller straight blades (#0 and #1) provide direct elevation of the epiglottis for improved glottic exposure in very small airways, while the Macintosh curved blade (#0) facilitates indirect lifting of the epiglottis by positioning in the vallecula. Design & Configuration

Straight (Miller) and curved (Macintosh) blade geometries deliver complementary visualization strategies: the Miller blade is used to directly lift the epiglottis for a line-of-sight approach in tiny airways, and the Macintosh blade relies on vallecular placement to expose the vocal cords indirectly. Offering Miller sizes 0 and 1 plus a Macintosh 0 in a single set allows clinicians to select the blade shape and size that best matches patient anatomy and the clinician's preferred technique without delay.
