Clinical Application

This side‑biting vascular clamp is intended for controlled partial occlusion of large vessels during vascular anastomosis and reconstruction. The geometry permits lateral (side‑biting) control of flow on tubular structures such as the aorta, inferior vena cava and other large arteries and veins, enabling exposure of the vessel wall for suturing while maintaining distal perfusion. It is commonly used in open vascular procedures where precise, sustained partial occlusion is required for grafting, patch angioplasty, or vessel repair.
