Clinical Application
Flexible-tip Macintosh blades are used for direct laryngoscopy to facilitate visualization of the glottic opening and guide placement of endotracheal tubes. The articulating distal tip gives the operator controlled adjustment of the blade tip to lift the epiglottis or improve line-of-sight in patients with limited neck extension, atypical anatomy, or when incremental tip movement is desirable during intubation. The set of sizes (#2, #3, #4) covers smaller adult through large adult clinical needs for routine operating room, emergency department, and critical care airway management.
Design & Configuration
The Macintosh curvature provides the familiar flange and contour used to displace the tongue and indirectly lift the epiglottis. A mechanically flexible distal tip allows fine-tuned tip angulation without repositioning the handle, enabling more precise exposure of the vocal cords while minimizing levering force on the tongue and mandible. Offering blades in sizes 2, 3 and 4 in a single set allows clinicians to select the appropriate profile quickly for patient anatomy and reduces turnover time between cases.

Material & Construction
The blades are manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel and finished for repeated clinical use and reprocessing. The flexible distal tip is implemented through a mechanical articulation integrated into the blade design to provide reliable, reproducible movement while maintaining the structural rigidity required for laryngoscopy. The construction supports routine cleaning and sterilization workflows expected for reusable airway instruments.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
