Clinical Application

Designed for atraumatic handling of delicate tissues and blood vessels, this instrument is used to grasp, manipulate, and stabilize tissues during vascular, cardiac, thoracic and general surgical procedures. The atraumatic longitudinal jaw reduces point pressure on vessel walls and soft tissue, making it suitable for vessel dissection, mobilization, suture handling and anastomosis preparation where tissue preservation is critical.

Design & Configuration

The angled shaft provides improved line-of-sight and ergonomics when working in deep or confined cavities, permitting the surgeon to approach tissue from an offset trajectory. The DeBakey-style longitudinal serrations distribute compressive force along the length of the jaws, minimizing local trauma while maintaining a secure, non-slip grip. At 24 cm overall length, the geometry balances reach and control for both superficial and deeper operative fields.
