Clinical Application
Provides controlled midline distraction of the lamina and interlaminar space to expose the spinal canal and neural elements during laminectomy, microdiscectomy, foraminotomy and related posterior spinal procedures. The device permits atraumatic retraction of bone and soft tissue margins to improve visualization and access for decompression, instrumentation and microscopic work.
Design & Configuration
The double-opposing blade geometry seats on the laminar margins to distribute force evenly and minimize bone edge trauma. A central screw mechanism enables incremental opening and self-retention, allowing the assistant to maintain exposure without continuous manual retraction. The 16 cm overall length provides reach appropriate for cervical and lumbar exposures while maintaining a compact profile for deep or narrow operative corridors.
