Clinical Application
Designed to bite, trim and extract small segments of cortical and cancellous bone, this curved bone rongeur is used for targeted bone removal and shaping in procedures such as spinal decompression, peripheral orthopedics, trauma fragment excision, ENT and maxillofacial surgery. The curved working end allows surgeons to approach bone surfaces at an angle while minimizing retraction of adjacent soft tissues.
Design & Configuration
The curved shaft and jaw geometry provide improved access to deep, confined or obliquely oriented surgical sites where a straight instrument would require excessive soft-tissue retraction or awkward hand positioning. A contoured bite surface on the curved tip concentrates force for precise nibbling of bone, enabling controlled, incremental removal and facilitating visualization at the working edge.
