Clinical Application
This angular bone rongeur is intended for controlled removal, shaping and contouring of small amounts of cortical and cancellous bone in confined or deep surgical fields. The 3 mm bite size supports incremental “nibbling” of bone during procedures such as spinal decompression, removal of osteophytes, mastoid and middle-ear work, oral and maxillofacial trimming, and other ENT or orthopedic applications where precision and access are required.
Design & Configuration
The angled (angular) beak places the biting edge out of the instrument shaft line to improve visibility and access around anatomic corners and overlying soft tissue. A 23 cm overall length provides extended reach into deep wounds or working channels while preserving tactile control at the handles. The small 3 mm jaw allows for precise, incremental bone removal with minimal disruption to adjacent structures. Ring handles provide a secure grip and allow surgeons to apply controlled force with direct feedback through the shaft.
