Clinical Application
Designed for controlled resection of meniscal tissue during knee arthroscopy, this right-oriented meniscotome is used to excise torn, frayed, or degenerative portions of the meniscus as part of partial meniscectomy and meniscal debridement procedures. The right curvature provides an optimized approach to tears located on specific aspects of the meniscus and facilitates access through standard anterolateral or anteromedial arthroscopic portals.
Design & Configuration
The right-curved cutting orientation allows the working edge to be directed toward target tissue without excessive shaft rotation, improving visualization and control in confined joint spaces. At 22 cm overall length, the shaft provides adequate reach for intra-articular work while maintaining tactile feedback and precision at the tip. The slender profile is intended to minimize portal trauma and to work in concert with arthroscopic optics and ancillary graspers, probes, and shavers.
